This and That

There is so much ‘stuff’ going on that it’s impossible to cover everything.  By the way on the blog, I had to open in Internet Explorer rather than Foxfire. Who knows how these things work, I bet Bill Gates would get lost trying to navigate.

Like for instance, Mrs. King Barry was carrying a $6,000 alligator clutch bag when she met with the Russian President and his wife.   I’m so glad the first couple knows how to sacrifice. Or like when she visited a homeless shelter in sneakers…they only cost $590.  All I can say is amazing.

This Michael Jackson thing is getting sicker by the day.  The nuts in LA  are talking about a second memorial. The first one cost the city a million and a half dollars.  Now those who didn’t get to attend want the city to do a second one, only find a larger place.  I say one, was one too many.  No wonder California is bankrupt.

No one knows where his body is.  Seems the body has disappeared or has at least to the public.  No doubt they are trying to find what drug overdose killed him. There are a lot of people trying to cover their butt in this deal.  Frankly I don’t care what drug killed him. In truth it was probably the rampant over use of drugs for years that led to this last one putting him away. It’s time we move on and find a spot to stick his cadaver in the ground.

Al Sharpton wants the government to put Jackson on a postage stamp.  Is that not one of the biggest insults you have heard in a long, long time? His last 15 years have been whacko. Paying families off so they will drop child molestation charges is not a recommendation to appear on a postage stamp.

There is a push for the Iowa State Fair to make this year’s butter sculpture Michael Jackson.  Iowa…surely you have more brains than that.  That would be almost as bad as a stamp with his portrait on it.

And while I’m on the subject, where did his white children go to school?  Did he home school them?   I doubt it.  He was stoned most all the time. There is no evidence of them attending public or private schools.   Yet the liberal press is trying to say he was the dad of the year.

The final lie.  He was the artist that bridged the gap between white and black.  What about Diana Ross, Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, The Supremes, Nat King Cole and dozens of other black singers that were loved by both blacks and whites?  I’m not astute enough on music to tell you all the black singers that appealed to both sides, but there were tons.

Ed McMahon died last week. He was a great entertainer, but prior to his stage accomplishments he was a distinguished Marine Corps fighter pilot in WWII earning six Air Medals and attaining the rank of Colonel. He was discharged in 1946 and was later promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in the CA Air National Guard. We have heard nothing about a memorial for him. He would be a much better candidate to grace our postage stamps.

Or what about Farrah Fawcett who died last week after a long career in Hollywood as an actress?  After she was diagnosed with cancer, she became an activist for cancer treatment and devoted her last remaining years to  encouraging people to seek treatment. She documented her plight on film and used it to encourage others to stay positive and upbeat despite their diagnosis and suffering.

Michael Jackson died last week. Yes, he was perhaps one of the greatest singers of modern time. But he will also be remembered for his eccentric lifestyle that included sleeping with a chimpanzee, living in a carnival-like atmosphere at Neverland, his fascination with Peter Pan, and his numerous masks and costumes. He also admitted to finding pleasure sleeping with young boys and paying out millions of dollars in settlements to the families of these boys despite being acquitted by a court on one allegation of sexual molestation.

QUESTION – Which of the above did the House of Representatives declare a moment of silence for on Monday? (Hint – It wasn’t the first two.)

QUESTION – Which of the above’s family received a personal note of condolence from President Obama? (Hint – It wasn’t the first two.)

I read an article by Maurene Dowd slamming Sarah Palin. What a tramp. she used every negative adjective she could find in her thesaurus. From country hick on.  After Dowd finished, being a red neck would be a step up. My mind is still nimb trying to figure out why there is so much nasty hate against Sarah from the left, other than sheer fear.  Trust me on this.  Sarah Palin has not hurt her chances for 2012, in fact she has greatly improved her standing.  Now she can work the lower 48 without being sued for ethics violations.  It’s okay that Napolitano and the gal from Kansas left the elected offices early. They are liberals. It’s okay that King Barry drew a senator’s salary for two years while he campaigned for president.  Rahm Emanuel left early.  The left are allowed to do whatever pleases them, but we on the right can’t sneeze without a major story being written.

I read Time Magazine’s new interview with Sarah. I was shocked to see them being fair. It’s a great interview and in no place do they try to make her sound like a hick.  They did say she looked tired in her television makeup.  But folks, it was 10:45 at night. She and Todd had been commercial fishing all day.  Anyone would look tired.  It was clear by the magazine article that King Barry had better get ready.  She is loaded for bear and coming after him.  Reminds me of what one Alaskan said, “Sarah is as angry as a gut shot grizzly.”   Anyone who knows anything about hunting realizes that the last thing you want to do is wound a grizzly and have him coming after you.  I think Sarah is wounded and coming to the lower 48 to clean Barry’s plow.  You watch this fall.  You watch her speak for conservative candidates.  She will be on a book tour signing her book, which will be a best seller and at each stop she will slice up Barry’s flawed policies.  She won’t go after the man, but what he stands for.

Make no mistake, she sliced up Joe Biden in the debate when she was green to big time politics. This time around she will be polished. She is moving from the JV to the Varsity and I can’t wait to see her play.  Look out in 2012….my only question is who will be her running mate now that the governor of SC has messed up.  May I pose Rick Perry????  Just a thought.

Good night, Will
